Advertising Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions of advertising govern the relationship between Travelscape Media CC and the advertiser. Please read through all of these terms and conditions prior to submitting your application for advertising.
Excluded Organizations
The following organization types may not apply for advertising under the categories of “Accommodation”, “Restaurants”, “Activity Venues” or “Tour Operators” for both the protection of our clients and due to the fact that Travelscape Media CC provides a facility whereby any visitor to the www.travelscape.co.za website is able to get in direct contact with the establishments that fall under the four categories listed above. However, listing under the “Travel and Tourism Services” category is allowed for these organization types in order to promote the relevant travel/tourism service ONLY. Further, these organization types may not list any of their venues or clients on there brochure under the Travel and Tourism Services category. Should any of these clients or venues require promotion on the www.travelscape.co.za website they must submit their own application for advertising either by contacting Travelscape Media CC or by submitting one or more of the online application forms found under www.travelscape.co.za/advertise.
- Holiday Letting Agents
- Reservation Agencies
- Accommodation Booking Agencies
- Any organization that charges a fee for making a booking on behalf of an establishment
- Management companies that manage the letting out of accommodation on behalf of the property owners
Service Availability
All applicants agree that any establishment they have listed on the www.travelscape.co.za website provides services, be it accommodation, restaurant, activity or other, on a full time basis (all year round).
Establishment Specification
Although the advertising application form provides the facility for the advertiser to select the type of categories and area’s applicable for their online brochure the ultimate decision for the correct placement is reserved by Travelscape Media CC. Should it be deemed that the selected category or area is in fact incorrect on the application form this may be changed at the discretion of Travelscape Media CC without prior notification being supplied to the advertiser.
Cancellation Procedure
Should any advertiser request cancellation of their advertisement before their annual subscription renews, such cancellation will be processed within 48 hours but no refund will be given for early cancellations unless said cancellation happens within the first 7 days of the publishing of the applicable advertisement.
Change of Ownership
Any change of ownership of your establishment while you are an advertiser on the www.travelscape.co.za needs to be communicated to us accordingly and the new owner is required to complete a new application and accept our Advertising Terms and Conditions.
Updates & Additions
Should you require updates or additions to the information in your online brochure, these updates need to be submitted to us via email to updates@travelscape.co.za. This email needs to include your name, your establishment name, your contact number and your email address as well as for each update required this email needs to include the (a) Section which requires changing; (b) the old information; (c) the new information. Updates will be completed within 2 – 4 working days of receipt of the update request email.
Payment & Renewal
The annual advertising fee must be payed on receipt of invoice which are emailed to your chosen billing contact person on receipt of your completed application form being received by us. You will be held responsible for any legal fees incurred by us for any legal action taken by us due to non-payment of your account. Renewal on any advertising subscriptions will be done during the month prior to the advertising subscription anniversary. Any cancellation not received within 14 days of the final renewal date on the subscription will be automatically renewed, in which event advertising fees for the following year become due and enforceable.
Copyright
Each establishment owner grants Travelscape Media CC the right and license to use the copy and photographs which are either supplied to us in any form applicable or which are available on the website of the establishment as recorded within the advertising application form for use on the travelscape.co.za website and any other website owned by Travelscape Media CC. Further, the advertiser grants Travelscape Media CC the rights to use, re-use and reproduce in part or whole any photograph or image material supplied to Travelscape Media CC by the advertiser for the promotion of the establishment or for the promotion of Southern Africa as a tourist destination. Travelscape Media CC can not be held responsible for any infringement of copyright laws resulting in the use of material supplied to us by the advertiser. Travelscape Media CC is further indemnified by the advertiser against any action brought for breach of copyright or other rights from the use of the materials supplied to Travelscape Media CC by the advertiser.
Ownership
Travelscape Media CC is the sole owner of the domain travelscape.co.za and as such reserves the right to make any changes or modifications to any and all pages on the travelscape.co.za website and any other website or domain owned by Travelscape Media CC. This is without limitation to any and all content, code, designs and other intellectual property held by Travelscape Media CC.
Travelscape Media CC reserves the right to refuse any application or to cancel any existing advertising subscription due to complaint or non-compliance with these Advertising Terms & Conditions.
